2nd day of adventure in Seoul (24 January 2014) PART 1

Day 2We were supposed to wake up really early today, but since we were very tired (and Kimie and I stayed until late at night) we accidentally doze off until 8.30 a.m. (First person to wake up: Tiha, 2nd: Me (yeay!not the last person~) Last: Kimie~) I was quite surprise because when I woke up, I found out that I was on the floor. LOL! I accidentally slept on the floor last night! (Good thing that the floor has heater so..no blanket, no worries~)
We had a quick breakfast and headed off to LOTTE WORLD! >.<
On our way from Ehwa Women's University station to Jamsil sation for Lotte world!
It took us about 35 minutes to get to Jamsil. The weather outside was really cold and there are some place that still has thick snow! (Even at Jamsil too!)
*On our way there, I kept thinking on how we're going to play the rides in magic island since its really d**n cold~
We arrived around 9.45 at Jamsil station and walk about 10 minutes to Lotte world. We bought the tickets at a ticket machine and off to LOTTE WORLD!

the ticket cost you about 44,000 won for 1 day pass (this includes magic island)
I can say that Lotte world is like Time square in KL(got theme park in building)+sunway pyramid(got ice skate too!), but this one has a really BIG INDOOR THEME PARK!

and there's me! I'm such a happy kid to see sooooo many rides here in this building~
*So many rides, but not all of them we can ride it on because of too many people during that time.
All of us decided to go on rides on Magic Island first since the rides in the building are full with people.

We're almost there! and the castle is almost looks like the one in Disneyland!
Unfortunately, there's also a lot of people here in Magic Island. We had no other choice but just patiently queue at the lines.
Our first ride is:
GYRO DROP!
Have you ever ride on spaceshot? Its almost the same but this one they'll slowly spin you around while getting high up and then BAM! they'll drop you like really fast WITHOUT stop! The best part is, when it takes you up, you'll get to see the whole town.
Its winter season, Jamsil is really cold and can you imagine how's it like being dropped from hundreds metre above the air? TT___TT
Our second ride is:
GYRO SPIN!
This one is like riding on a viking ship ride while it spin you round and round. Don't worry, you won't be dizzy while riding on this thing.
At first we want to ride on this one after we ride on gyro spin:
But then, we think of the cold air that keeps slapping on our face..ummm..maybe next time maybe?
So we ended up going to Ghost House watching a 3D horror theatre(which is not that scary at all). (The theatre was about 30 minutes).

see~ I told you its really cold here. The pond was still in ice form.
As the weather was getting really cold outside, we decided to get back into the building. Kimie and I were quite hungry during that time, so we stopped at a stall that sells 오뎅 (Odeng) and bought some.

Its a fish cake with a spicy soup.
We didn't get to ride a lot of rides in the building as it was crowded with people. We manage to ride on a spinning cup only.

A bit frustrated that we can't ride a lot of rides, so we ended up going to the Folk Museum.
Found this on our way to the museum, and I found it funny when I saw "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri".

they even got a tower in this museum which we can go up there and take pictures.

We spend about 2 hours here in the folk museum and our tummies begged us for food. So we decided to have our very late lunch at lotteria before we went out from Lotte World.
Lotteria is the only fast food that sells shrimp and squid burger.
My order: shrimp burger.

After we had our late lunch, we decided to head to Apgujeong for our next adventure.

1st day of adventure in Seoul (23 January 2014)

Day 1We went out to Hongdae but before we went there, we accidentally stroll around the area nearby our hostel. (actually we got lost on our way out to Ehwa Women's University subway station as we were confused with the pathway to the station). Along the way, we found a lot of interesting shops and cafe here in Seodaemun-gu.
Stop at 7 eleven and bought this!Now I know why everyone loves this!DELICIOUS!
(We even bought Olleh wifi reload which cost us 9900 won for 4 days use)
*Who says that here in Seoul have a lot of free wifi and its easy to get..?when you get here, you really need to buy wifi reload. Not all wifi here are free.
There's still a little snow left here.
We took the train to Hongdae and went to the Hello Kitty Cafe. On our way there, we were a little bit confused with the direction we got from a website and again, we got lost. One more tips when we got lost is, DON'T PANIC. Take it positively and have a little adventure. So we just walk along the street (and maybe circled around the buildings nearby the subway station) until we found a pathway that looks like exactly what had mentioned in the direction that we got.
We walk into a narrow pathway and found the cafe which is very recognisable..
Its obviously recognisable because its building is all pinky and it has a lot of hello kitty decoration on it.
Since its really cold outside, we quickly get into the cafe which is quite warm and cosy in there. I was really amaze with the decorations in the cafe. For a pink hater like me, I kinda like the cafe's decorations and their concept. Almost everything in here are all in hello kitty shape (the walls, chairs, curtains)
Even the waffle is in hello kitty shape.
*My order: Earl Grey latte and Hello kitty cream waffle.
The earl grey latte taste like teh tarik..seriously! :3

*The price for a coffee and waffle here are a bit pricey. For my order, it cost about 8,000 won. Standard price for a coffee is worth 4,000 won if I'm not mistaken.
We went back to our hostel around 1.30 p.m and check-in when we reached there. We had a rest before we went back to Hongdae to Trick Eye museum(Santorini Seoul).

We continue our journey around 4.30 p.m which its like almost sunset here. Stop at Hongdae and off we go to Trick Eye museum.
*The ticket cost about 15,000 won and includes admission to ice museum.

Best thing about trick eye museum is that you can took pictures of you with the arts that comes to life~!
You can even shrunk and grow yourself up! :P

We spent almost two hours here in trick eye museum before we went to the ice museum.

*and yes, cold butt alert! >.<
*Here in ice museum is really really really cold and its very different from winter's cold. You might feel pain a little (especially if you have sensitive skin)
We didn't spent a lot of time here in ice museum and we got of from the building around 6.45 p.m. (Its already dark outside and yes, another culture shock since its too early to be dark outside)
But hey, our 1st day of adventure doesn't end just like that. We went to Myeondong to meet up with Kimie's friend, Kak Shiema. Took the train to Myeondong and we went to Lotte's department store to meet with her.

We were supposed to meet at Lotte Young Plaza and but we were at the other side of the building(which I forgot the name) when we reached at lotte department store. Since we had lot of time while waiting for Kak Shiema to come, we searched our way to Lotte Young Plaza. When we reached there, we thought that Kak Shiema had arrived, but she's still on her way. So we stroll in the building and had a little fun in there since there's SM pop store!

Just like the one in Suria KLCC, the merchandise are quite EXPENSIVE~(I only get to buy Exo's Kai button for my cousin..hopefully she likes it)
Kak Shiema arrived a bit late and all of us were very hungry. When she arrived, we quickly went to Yoogane Restaurant (ha~hungry like a lion). I must say that the place was very nice and the food here was delicious! Unfortunately I forgot the name of the food we ordered. Its like seafood fried rice and you add cheese and ramen and cook them all together!

*Surprisingly, the kimchi here was spicy yet delicious! who says that Korean people don't eat spicy foods? Its almost the same as Malaysian spicy foods!

If you think that our 1st day adventure ends here..then..딩! You're wrong! we went karaoke at a nearby 노래방.

We spent almost 2 hours here and went back to our hostel. Its really a tiring and adventurous day for us. Although we were tired, Kimie and I stayed up untill really late at night, while Tiha had gone to slumber land.
